{"id":108,"date":"2026-02-17T19:32:32","date_gmt":"2026-02-17T19:32:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kulturniidentiteti.com\/eng\/?p=108"},"modified":"2026-02-17T19:32:34","modified_gmt":"2026-02-17T19:32:34","slug":"new-paper-published-on-generation-zs-awareness-of-croatian-intangible-cultural-heritage","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kulturniidentiteti.com\/eng\/2026\/02\/17\/new-paper-published-on-generation-zs-awareness-of-croatian-intangible-cultural-heritage\/","title":{"rendered":"New Paper Published on Generation Z\u2019s Awareness of Croatian Intangible Cultural Heritage"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A scientific paper titled <strong>\u201cHow Much Does Generation Z Know About Croatian Intangible Cultural Heritage on UNESCO Lists\u201d<\/strong>, authored by Barbara Poslek, Kre\u0161imir Dabo, and Ivana Schildenfeld, has been published in the proceedings of the 3rd International Scientific and Professional Conference <em>Migration and Identity: Culture, Economy, State<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The paper analyses the level of awareness among members of Generation Z regarding Croatian intangible cultural heritage inscribed on UNESCO lists, as well as their perception of the role of UNESCO and the Croatian Ministry of Culture and Media in safeguarding heritage. Based on a survey conducted among 246 young respondents, the findings indicate that although Generation Z recognises the importance of preserving cultural heritage, they are not sufficiently familiar with specific heritage elements or with the institutional framework responsible for their protection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The results highlight the need to strengthen heritage education within the formal education system and to develop more effective and contemporary communication strategies through media and social networks.
